Balance is not something you find; it’s something you create. Unknown
As a wife and mom with 4 young children, I was constantly asking – how do I manage to do everything that needs to be done around here, stay sane, and not collapse in exhaustion? What is my work/life balance supposed to look like? Now my children are able to help me a lot around the house with all kinds of chores, but I work part-time as well as doing business online. And I’m still asking the question about whether or not it’s possible to balance the time well between all the hats I wear.
I think we all wonder about this question at some point or another in our lives! How do I manage my life and the responsibilities I have in a healthy way for maximum results?
Last week I came across a blog post by Michael Hyatt, and it was like a light bulb went off in my brain. Balance is different from what I have been thinking of it as and that’s not a bad thing. I was very encouraged and, though rest and play aren’t what the blog post is about, I was reminded that it’s important to schedule time for play and rest, not just work!
Check it out here; it may be just what you need to hear about your work-life balance!
What are your challenges in balancing all your responsibilities, hobbies, and rest? Have you found a way to “stay on the rope?”
